The next session of ACON Young Women's Project's Ins and Out is confirmed to begin Thursday 29 September, running every Thursday until the 10 November. For anyone who doesn’t know Ins and Out is a group run for & by young same-sex attracted women one night a week for seven weeks. Essentially it's an opportunity to meet other young same-sex attracted women and discuss issues relevant to our community such as relationships, homophobia, the ‘scene’, lesbian health, coming out, picking up, sexual health, alcohol & other drugs and much more. While it is a structured group with discussions, brainstorms and so on, there are loads of opportunities to have fun and get to know others, including games and social activities. Ins and Out is a unique program unlike any other currently on offer in Australia, catering specifically to the needs of same-sex attracted young women. The project has seen well over 300 women come through the group since its inception in 2005 and currently holds an active group of over 30 trained volunteer facilitators. There are still a few spaces left if anyone is interested but you must get in quick!
