For any readers out there, there's a lesbian book club meeting for the second time on Wednesday 15th April, 7pm at the Courthouse pub in Newtown. We're reading Sacred Country by Rose Tremain. I've just started it, and it's REALLY GOOD. Books will be mostly fiction with queer themes. (Sacred Country is about an FTM transgendered person.) Four people were at the last meeting, two in the early-mid 20s and two in the 30+ age range (but who really knows, I'm guessing here!), hopefully it will continue to be a diverse group. I know there's not a lot of time between now and the 15th, but even if you only read part (or none) of the book, you should still come to the meeting! Books + beer + lesbians = winner.

Hi Alyssa, This sounds really fantastic. Unfortunately, don't think I have time between balancing uni assessments and work with reading a book in the next two days! How often does the group meet? I'd love to come to the next one. Thanks. =] xx

Once a month. Seriously though, feel free to come along even though you haven't read it. It should be interesting!
