This weekend is camp betty and blue betty (saturday night event) so I thought I'd just give this great initiative a ickle bit of publicity here...The saturday night event sounds like LOADS of fun and if your into sex and gender politics and activism the whole weekend is gonna be super interesting. CAMP BETTY-A LONG WEEKEND UNRAVELLING THE POLITICS OF SEX AND GENDER.... Starting 5pm Friday night, Red Rattler.

Join us on the Queen's Birthday Weekend this June, for a festival of workshops, skillshares, panels, parties, discussion and a whole pile of action. Just $10 (or $5 for concessions, or $20+ if you're feeling generous and have cash to spare!) for registration (register opening night at the red rattler from 5pm onards) which includes a copy of the Program and entry into the opening night event.

VENUES so far: * The Red Rattler (Betty Central HQ), Dirty Shirlows, Midian, Plump Gallery.

Blue Betty is an evening of blue lights, blue angels, blue movies and blue valentines.

Downstairs: Enter a world of provocative performances, planned and impromptu. Dances in laps, on podiums, on floors. Gloves and garters, jocks and gstrings, tits and titillations. Lace and leather, frou frou and feathers, burlesque bombshells and musical magic. A chance to flirt at the bar, dance to the delicious DJs, make small talk, or ju...st sit back and watch...

Upstairs: Dark desires and dark corners, purple poetry and prose. Propositions, negotiations, liasons, encounters. Strangers, lovers, acquantainces old and new. Exhibitionists, voyeurs, tops, bottoms, switches, role plays and role reversals. What happens next is up to you...when Betty turns Blue.

Tix $15/10 on the door (nobody turned away for lack of funds though). Last ticket sales at 1am. Blue Betty is a major fundraiser for Camp Betty Sydney.
