We are looking for a flatmate for our second room in our 2 bedroom apartment. Here are the details:

The Room:

It’s a large room (unfurnished) that would definitely fit a queen size bed and desk and shelves, with large build-ins and big windows ($165 per week+bills).

The House:

The apartment is on the first floor, has 2 bedrooms in total, 1 bathroom with toilet, shower and washing machine. The big kitchen is combined with the lounge (with TV and DVD player). The apartment has high ceilings and is very sunny/light. We have a small backyard with a little shed to store 1-2 bikes in. We have a homephone and wireless internet (would adjust bills according to usage).

The Location:

Officially it’s Redfern, but actually it’s more Surry Hills – it’s on Redfern Street cnr Chalmers Street, and therefore in a safe area. It’s literally 30 seconds walk to the Busstop to the city (305, 308, 309, 310, 343) and maybe 5 minutes walk to busses out of the city, 10 mins walk to Central Station, 8 mins walk to Redfern Station. A convenient shop is right across the street, number of cafes and restaurants right on the block.

The Costs:

It’s $165 per week + bills, with 2 weeks rent in advance, 4 weeks (negotiable) rent as bond

About Us:

We are a lesbian couple (24 & 26 years), both working full time. We are pretty easy going (I would say ‘normal’, if there’s anything like that) and enjoy meeting new people, but we do need our own quiet time and privacy as well.. We do enjoy staying at home, watching movies, cooking (more or less successful..) as well as going out partying. We are clean, but not too fussy.

YOU:

We are looking for a Female (queer or queer friendly), 24-30 years, easy going (‘normal’?!), with a steady income, non-smoker/outdoor smoker, reliable, responsible, sense of cleaniness, sense of humour. We don't care if you are straight/gay/inbetween or whatever as long as we all get along fine :-)
